For twenty years, American Express and WMF have worked together to preserve cultural heritage sites around the world.
American Express and WMF’s current collaboration Partners in Preservation – promotes sustainable tourism while also providing grants for sites that integrate historic preservation, visitor education, and tourism management.
The program’s initial grants focus on four iconic sites – Mexico City, Delhi, St. Paul’s Cathedral in London, and Route 66. While these locations are all very different, the goal of each project is to create an environment of greater enjoyment and improved interpretation for visitors.
