Offers a concise history of Angkor, the capital seat of the Khmer empire between the 9th and 13th centuries, and of the 12th century temple complex of Preah Khan, one of the most significant remains of the ancient Khmer civilization. Issued at a time when a ten-year conservation program of the World Monuments Fund at Angkor was half complete, this brochure summarizes WMF’s accomplishments.
