In the Field

Spanning geographic, cultural, and national boundaries.

WMF has field projects at more than 150 sites on all seven continents. Our field project managers identify preservation issues and help local teams develop conservation strategies, management plans, and training programs to ensure that sites remain protected well after WMF's involvement has ended.

The sites where we work range from the highest architectural achievements to simple vernacular structures. They span time from ancient archaeological sites to 20th-century buildings. Our efforts ensure development of long-term strategies for the protection of these historic places.
