Paul Mellon Lecture

World Monuments Fund
Anna Somers Cocks, CEO of The Art Newspaper, 2013

Established in 2003, the annual Paul Mellon Lecture focuses on the art, history, and conservation of important cultural heritage projects.

The Paul Mellon Lecture series reflects the late Paul Mellon’s love for English Heritage and typically focuses on specific monuments, their relation to our contemporary world, and the many ways in which they define and enhance our lives. Presented in New York and London by leading scholars and specialists in the field of art history, historic preservation, and architecture, each lecture has provided an in-depth exploration of iconography, craftsmanship, and the visitor experience.

The Paul Mellon Lecture series is supported by The Paul Mellon Education Fund and the Paul Mellon Fund for Architectural Preservation in Great Britain.
