2018 World Monuments Fund/Knoll Modernism Prize Nomination Submission

The 2016 World Monuments Fund/Knoll Modernism Prize winner, Justus van Effen, awarded to Molenaar & Co. architecten, Hebly Theunissen architecten, and landscape architect Michael van Gessel.

The World Monuments Fund/Knoll Modernism Prize is awarded biennially to a design professional or firm in recognition of an innovative architectural or design solution that has preserved a modern building or group of buildings.

The Prize, first given in 2008, stemmed from WMF’s Modernism at Risk initiative, created in 2006 in defense of increasing threats to modern buildings from neglect, perceived obsolescence, inappropriate alterations, and demolition. Nominated projects must have been completed in the last five years.
