Claire Weisz

Claire Weisz is a founding principal of WXY architecture + urban design, a multidisciplinary practice focused on the art of re-imagining infrastructure. Her recent design awards for public work include the redesigned Rockaway Boardwalk, the reconstruction of Astor Place, and a new Salt Shed, Garage and SeaGlass Carousel at the Battery in Manhattan. Weisz co-founded The Design Trust for Public Space, a New York City urban design think tank. She is the Portman Critic for 2017 at Georgia Tech School of Architecture and visiting critic at Cornell University’s College of Architecture, Art and Planning. Weisz is a graduate of The University of Toronto and received her M.Arch from Yale University.
