Lima, Peru
Edificio Atlas
The building is located in the historic center, contrasting and conversing with the different scales and times of the city.
The design of the building is based on three main components- one platform and two separate office blocks. The treatment of the facades is based on the brise-soleil, a shading grid frequently used by Le Corbusier. This 1955 building fits perfectly with the modern urbanistic approach of the “Plano Piloto de Lima,” Lima’s City Plan, of 1949.
