Conservation Management and Presentation of the Historic City of Angkor Report One

Contains the findings of two field missions to Angkor, the capital seat of the Khmer empire between the 9th and 13th centuries, organized by World Monuments Fund in 1989 and 1991. The report recommends the collaborative formulation of a conservation management plan for Angkor, the creation of opportunities for training in conservation, and the establishment of a research program on site. This two-part report issued concurrently with “Report II: Preah Khan Conservation Project – Project Identification” and “Preah Khan Report III: Conservation Plan.”
