Salvemos Buenos Aires: 1er Encuentro de Gestión de Patrimonio Arquitectónico y Urbano

Due to development pressures and insufficient regulations protecting its built heritage, the Historic Center of Buenos Aires was included in the 2010 World Monuments Watch. In September 2010, WMF and the French and Brazilian embassies supported the creation of an international symposium to raise awareness of the precarious state of the city’s built heritage, and encourage the improvement of regulations to protect the essence of the city, as planners grapple with the challenges of meeting new needs for residents and visitors. The following publication is a collection of the proposals from local and international speakers from Peru, Brazil, France, and Chile presented at the event.
