The Architect

In this series, WMF demonstrates its commitment to both the physical conservation of Phnom Bakheng, one of Angkor’s oldest and most visited temples, as well as its relationship with the local villagers who are integral to the sustainability of all WMF projects at Angkor. WMF began working at Phnom Bakheng in 2004 and its commitment to the heritage conservation program at the site has enabled the employment of more than 100 full-time workers, most of whom live in the villages within Angkor Archaeological Park. These videos highlight the deep and lasting connection between the community and its heritage. This video project was funded by the. U.S. Embassy in Phnom Penh.‎ Support for WMF's work at Phnom Bakheng is provided through the U.S. Department of State Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation.
