Academic Partnerships

The Institute partners with academic institutions around the globe to help develop the next generation of heritage professionals and expand the field through WMF project-related research. These partnerships foster learning through hands-on graduate field schools, fellowships, and research projects that support both the organization’s field projects and thematic programs.

Academic collaborators for the Suzanne Deal Booth Institute for Heritage Preservation include Columbia University, University of Pennsylvania, Tulane University, Carleton University (Canada), and the University of Duhok (Kurdistan Region of Iraq).
