2012 Hadrian Award Gala

On October 23, a distinguished group of guests gathered at the Plaza to honor Kenneth I. Chenault, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of American Express and the Duke of Devonshire KCVO CBE DL. Henry Kissinger's tribute to Kenneth Chenault upon his receipt of WMF's Hadrian Award illustrated Mr. Chenault's tremendous commitment to preserving irreplaceable historic sites around the world. Caroline Kennedy provided equally warm and generous comments on congratulating the Duke of Devonshire on his receipt of WMF's Watch Award in recognition of his efforts to preserve Chatsworth for the enjoyment of the public and for his leadership in setting a high standard for preserving the legacy of an iconic historic estate by demonstrating its viability and relevance in an ever-changing world.

The evening was hosted by Dinner Chairs Fernanda M. Kellogg, Chairman of the Tiffany & Co. Foundation; acclaimed interior designers Juan Pablo and Pilar Molyneux; and Jack Shear, Director of the Ellsworth Kelly Foundation.
