Statement on the Passing of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II

The staff and trustees of World Monuments Fund are deeply saddened by the loss of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. As Head of State for seventy years, the Queen has been an ever-present figure in a fast-changing world and we have been immensely proud to have worked on places connected to her.

She defined tradition, heritage and a selfless sense of duty which will be sorely missed by the nation, the Commonwealth and the wider global community that she served. Our thoughts are with the Royal Family.
