An Evening in Support of Mexico Earthquake Response

Monte Albán Archaeological Site in Oaxaca, Mexico, which sustained damage during the 2017 earthquakes.

Join us for a festive evening of support as we raise funds and awareness for Mexico's cultural heritage damaged during recent natural disasters. Cocktails begin at 6:30pm, and dinner is served at 7:30pm.

In September 2017, earthquakes struck south and central Mexico—causing loss of life and destruction to communities and their sites of cultural heritage, including Monte Albán Archaeological Site in Oaxaca, Mexico, seen here. In October, World Monuments Fund included Disaster Sites of the Caribbean, the Gulf, and Mexico on the 2018 World Monuments Watch as the first step in supporting long-term recovery for the people and places affected by the disasters.

Now, the work must begin to help communities put their treasured places back together. Your contribution can help us provide condition assessments for damaged structures, conservation plans, and remedial work to repair, and in some cases rebuild, damaged landmarks.
