Japan is home to a rich and diverse cultural heritage that dates back millennia. On this trip, you’ll explore architectural masterworks from numerous eras, including the ancient temple Kinkakuji in the UNESCO-protected city of Kyoto; the incredible Ritsurin gardens and the Sanro-den Shinto shrine on Shikoku Island, and much more. We’ll also look together at the ways in which the ancient informed the creation of sites in the 20th century.
