Join WMF on our Monumental Journeys trip Rapa Nui (Easter Island) from March 14 to 20, 2026!

Rapa Nui (Easter Island) holds an almost mythical place in the world, with images of the famous moai scattered across a remote island in the South Pacific. These iconic sculptures represent a unique culture that continues to thrive today, and over the course of four days we will explore the island’s history and heritage. Rapa Nui holds an important place in the history of WMF, as our work there began almost since our founding in 1965.

Monumental Journeys: Rapa Nui will provide special access to the sites and leading experts of Rapa Nui, and as this trip is the culmination of WMF’s 60th Anniversary celebration, we will mark the occasion in special ways while on the island. As this trip involves more physical activity than other Monumental Journeys, we ask that you consider your limitations before you register.

To register interest, please contact Dominique Castro at dcastro@wmf.org.

This experience is part of our travel program. WMF Monumental Journeys trips are reserved for members of the International Council. Learn more about how you can join.
