Professional Networks

Professional exchange is essential to the field of heritage conservation. The Institute shapes and coordinates WMF’s networks of practitioners, facilitating knowledge sharing and making available new preservation tools and approaches.

Scientific Committees

WMF’s regional and local professional scientific committees provide technical guidance and expert support for its work.

The Institute coordinates and supports the convening of international technical meetings of these advisors biannually to discuss specific themes and opportunities relevant to heritage preservation today.

These in-person gatherings will present a unique opportunity to reflect on WMF work globally while also tackling specific technical conservation issues and highlighting promising new tools and strategies for the field.
