Elías Mujica, an archaeologist and anthropologist, joined World Monuments Fund in 2021 to lead the Peruvian affiliate. His main interest is the management and development of cultural and natural heritage with social inclusion, the transformation of the territory and development of traditional technologies, the role of heritage in tourism, and the economic impact of cultural projects on communities. He holds a BA from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (Lima), and an MA from Cornell University (New York).
