Watch Day: The Jewish Quarter of Essaouira

In March 2019, an energetic and interactive Watch Day was held in the Jewish Quarter of Essaouira, Morocco, a 2018 World Monuments Watch site. Watch Day is a series of celebratory events organized by local communities at World Monuments Watch sites, highlighting the importance of vibrant community engagement and local stewardship in the sustainable preservation of heritage sites.
